On Station as No 2 Lifeboat from Aug 1887 – March 1895 built at a cost of £325 7s 0d and supplied as an anonymous gift, she was 32’in length Self-righting with ten (10) oars, she was also fitted with two standing lugs and jib. Stationed at the Whitby west side Lifeboat station on Pier Road.

During her career at Whitby, Christopher was launched twice and saved no lives  

The boat was disposed by being broken up in November1895.
